Bricks and Birch at the Food Lab~ One of the best Neapolitan style pizza joints around opened recently in the Riverside Food Lab in Downtown Riverside. Right next to the Fox Theatre, the Food Lab is a fun place to visit with lots of fun food options. Especially if you love woodfired pizza, and who doesn\u2019t? This is the place for you! \u00a0WHY WE LOVE IT?\u00a0Using locally sourced wood for their ovens, Brick and Birch offers amazing unique flavor options like the Swineapple and Jalapeno Popper pizza to name a few. Brick and Birch also make their own vegan cheese and chicken. Yes, you heard that right. They make their own! They even bake all their own pastries on site too! \u00a0What about gluten-free options? They didn\u2019t forget you. Bricks and Birch offer an amazing great gluten-free crust. \u00a0I ordered the \u201cRon Swanson\u201d as I am a huge Parks and Rec fan and it delivered. Topped with \u201call the meats\u201d of pepperoni, bacon, and sausage, the pizza took around 12-minutes to cook in the woodfired oven. The smell of the wood fire created a nice pleasant aroma. Finally, they called our name and we dove in. The crust was golden in color and bubbled in a way that only wood ovens can create. It was less greasy than I expected too. After eating a couple of slices, we discovered the clever design of the recycled to go box. Round with dimples on the lid and bumps and channels below to divert moisture and oils away from the crust. Really innovative and proved effective the next day when I heated some up for lunch. Welcome to\u00a0Riverside Bricks and Birch<\/a>!<\/p>\n

Romano\u2019s: Multiple Locations in Riverside<\/h2>\n

A Chicago born girl at heart,\u00a0Romano\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0is a classic Chicago Pizzeria and family Italian restaurant. With four locations to choose from, there is probably one near you. Romano\u2019s is a family owned and operated restaurant that offers menu items that appeal to all ages of the family. Dine in or have it delivered by Door Dash. The pizzeria menu is extensive and offers that famous Chicago stuffed or thin crust options. But for those of us wanting a bit more, the gourmet pizza selections are amazing too. They even have a new menu option called Urban Eats! For those of us that no matter where we go, we need to make sure they have mac n cheese, guess what!?? They do. As well as other non-pizza or Italian options.\u00a0WHY WE LOVE IT?\u00a0\u00a0The Downtown Riverside location even has a concert lounge that hosts both tribute bands and, my personal favorite, 80\u2019s rock bands. New York Pizza Co.: 3570 Van Buren, Riverside<\/h2>\n

You\u2019ve probably driven by\u00a0NYC Pizza<\/a>\u00a0Co a bunch of times and not even realized what you were missing! Almost at the 91 freeway exit and Van Buren, this pizza always delivers the good stuff. I mean delivers! There range for home deliveries is huge and the pizza is always delicious and hot. This local small business has a great lunch too. For $5 you get a giant slice of pizza and a drink and can even sit in their quaint patio area to enjoy it. Having a party? This is your pizza place go to. The Party Pizza is 24\u201d and 28 slices of amazing. Bring a big car if you plan on carrying out, the box barely fit in my car door!\u00a0WHY WE LOVE IT?\u00a0The coupons! Check online for NYC Pizza coupons and ask for their \u201cdaily special\u201d. You won\u2019t be disappointed at NYC. \u00a0Oh, and did I mention the New York Cheesecake?<\/p>\n

Pietro\u2019s Italian Cuisine: 6788 Brockton Ave, Riverside<\/h2>\n

This next place is a real hidden gem. Right in the Brockton Arcade, a couple blocks from the Riverside Plaza, look to Pietro\u2019s for great pizza and pasta too. Once you walk through the door you feel like you\u2019ve been transported 60 years back in time and are stepping into Old Italy. The cool Good Fella\u2019s vibe continues as you walk into the large open dining room. The curved red leather booths and old school Chianti bottles with candles wax dripping down almost hitting the checked red and white tablecloths really give the ambiance of a classic Italian Ristorante. But it\u2019s that smell that hits you right away of the garlic bread. It\u2019s to die for. Generous portions and great service are always to be expected. They make their own salad dressing fresh too! \u00a0WHY WE LOVE IT?\u00a0Great prices, great portions, and great authentic vibe at\u00a0Pietro\u2019s Italian Cuisine<\/a>!<\/p>\n

D\u2019Caesaro Pizza and Italian Restaurant<\/h2>\n

You\u2019ll never order from a chain pizza place again after a visit to\u00a0D\u2019Caesaro<\/a>. It is \u201cTHE\u201d mom and pop place that\u2019s been around forever. Definitely, a go-to when you\u2019re craving comfort food like pizza on these colder winter days. Known for their pizza, calzones and mozzarella sticks, D\u2019 caesaro is a Riverside neighborhood staple and many call it the best pizza in Riverside. It\u2019s a great place to take a date for lunch but be prepared to wait for sure because the place can get busy, but it\u2019s worth it!\u00a0WHY WE LOVE IT?\u00a0Family owned and operated since 1987 this place is all word of mouth and no big advertising budget. They only use fresh ingredients and D\u2019Caesaro makes their dough fresh every day and you can taste the difference.<\/p>\n

Who knew so many great places existed in Riverside, California! I challenge you to visit one of these amazing restaurants the next time you are craving a great slice of pizza, in fact, why not make a mission to dine at all 5 at least once!<\/p>\n
